Can Depanning Machines Handle Different Trays?
A depanning system can handle multiple tray formats when tray dimensions, product positions, release methods, and changeover requirements are considered during design. Simply making guides adjustable is not enough. Heavier trays may also require slower acceleration or stronger conveying components. The acceptance test should therefore use each intended tray format at the required production speed. Testing only the easiest tray does not demonstrate full operating capability.
The machine must stay synchronized with oven discharge and downstream cooling. When tray spacing changes, sensors and control timing need to maintain continuous flow without collisions or unnecessary gaps.
Hygiene and Maintenance Considerations
Change parts should be accessible and easy to identify. Components exposed to crumbs, oil, or product residue need regular cleaning without complicated disassembly. Vacuum filters, suction heads, belts, guides, and sensors should remain reachable after the equipment is integrated into the line.
